"Trattoria Omero" is situated in the centre of the ancient quarter of "Arcetri", just a stone's throw from Piazzale Michelangelo, on a street know as "Via Pian dei Giullari", which was named after the minstrels who used to perform popular version of folk tales.
It is a long and rambing thoroughfare that winds its way from Poggio Imperiale to the Church of Santa Margherita a Montici.
Halfway along the road is the house know as "Il Gioello", the last home of Galileo Galilei and standing opposite it is "Trattoria Omero", Firenze - a charming inn which still retains its unique old-worldly charm.
The wine cellar is also distinguished and features some 200 carefully chosen wines, mainly from Tuscan vineyards.
"Trattoria Omero" Firenze is not just an excellent restaurant, it is also a grocery shop where typical products can be bought.
It boasts two spacious dining rooms and a summer terrace affording unforgettable views of the Tuscan hills.
The simple, homely cuisine is based around the produce of our soil. The oil, charcuterie, cheese, vegetables and meat are all carefully selected.
