Tunnel Vision Backpackers is a small but spacious hostel ( 30 beds ) in the historic port town of Lyttelton, situated 12 km from central Christchurch. We give the city-weary traveller a convenient location from which to explore Christchurch and to enjoy the activities the Port Hills and the harbour have to offer. It is also a great stop-over on the way to Akaroa. Being in an beautifully refurbished old hotel ( 1881 ) we have tried to combine old world charm ( polished wooden floors) with stylish modern design. All the rooms have great views.
The bright well fitted-out kitchen is connected to an even larger, north facing deck (very sunny ). The TV lounge has an adjacent courtyard with a waterfall. We have full laundry facilities ( 2 washing machines and 2 dryers ) and european style showers The hostel has off-street parking and is situated close to Lyttelton's café-bars, supermarket, bank and beaches.
