The Tyr Graig Castle is a remarkable and unique country Hotel situated between the mountains and the sea. Only 1/2 a mile out of Barmouth town centre and on the borders of the Snowdonia National Park. There are magnificent sea views ....
The Hotel was originally built in 1891 for WW Greener the famous Birmingham gunmaker and it is alleged that Mr Greener made the gun that was used by Doc Holliday in the famous "GUNFIGHT AT THE OK CORRAL". The Hotel still retains many of it's original features and style of the Victorian era with stained glass windows, wood panelling, decorative floors and very elaborate ceilings, whilst still offering modern day comforts.
The restaurant offers good homely cooking with a choice of three or two course menus. Set price lunch at £13 is an attractive option. House wine at £9.
