Black Cockatoos will greet you most mornings on the back veranda and soft-eyed Tammar wallabies will rustle about in the garden during the evenings. For your evening dining pleasure there are two gourmet restaurants within one to five minutes stroll of the Lodge.
Kangaroo Island is Australia's third largest island and lays on the margin of the Great Southern Ocean. Kangaroo Island produces award winning wines and cheeses, free-range poultry, olives, marron (a fresh water lobster), crayfish, abalone and the most succulent of fish, the famous King George whiting. All of these foods and more are to be found in gourmet restaurants and cafés in picturesque settings dotted about the island.
