The Umkomaas Golf Club dates all the way back to 1913 with nine holes, and later boasting championship holes designed to capitilise on the stunning views overlooking the Indian Ocean from most of the tee offs. Holes are challenging, with well grassed wide fairways, typical South coast undergrowth or the rough, and a number of greens elevated above fairway level and protected by bunkers in many instances. Golf carts are available for hire, and the clubhouse with veranda situated at the first tee is ideal for a drink or snack before or after the game, the pub with TV sets showing sporting events is comfortable and caters to most tastes, and the restaurant offers light meals, snacks and drinks which can be served on the veranda or in the pub. The Umkomaas Golf Club has locker rooms for ladies and gentlemen with shower facilities, and there's a Halfway House out on the course serving drinks and snacks with toilet facilities, they also have practice facilities adjacent the clubhouse with putting green and chipping area, as well as practice bunker, it's all here for a wonderful game, and there's a Golf shop stocking most of the essentials.
