Standing in it's own grounds, Upper Mount House is tucked away in a rural-like backwater of Southsea in the United Kingdom but just minutes from the Southsea shopping centre and the seafront.
Upper Mount House was built in 1851 by our famous local architect Thomas Owen, known locally as "Thomas Owen Southsea". We are very proud to share this unique building with all our guests.
Proprietor Wayne served in the Royal Navy for twenty four years, nine of which he served on the Royal Yacht Britannia.
Under Wayne's guidance, the Upper Mount House is benefitting from Britannia's prestigious standards. Come and enjoy the quiet, relaxed
and friendly atmosphere at Upper Mount House under our personal supervision where quality and service are "second to none".
We take pride in being one of the best privately owned Guest Houses in Portsmouth backed by the AA Guest House Guide.
Situated in the town centre of Southsea all amenities are within walking distance and our large car park makes us popular with all our business and holidaying guests. If you are a regular Southsea visitor we are sure you will return again and again.
The Upper Mount boasts a variety of styled guest bedrooms. All rooms are light and spacious furnished to a high standard offering a choice of bath or shower facilities within each room.
