Welcome to Valentines Studio in the Woods, Gaylord, United States. Ray Valentine, along with assistance from his wife Susan, operates Valentines Studio in the Woods, on wooded property west of Gaylord, Michigan. Ray had previously operated a store-front Studio in Boyne City, Michigan for twenty-seven years.

Ray has received the Degree of Master of Photography, and is a nationally Certified Professional Photographer, by the Professional Photographers of America, Inc., having successfully competed in international competitions and having passed their requirements for photographic knowledge, ability and ethics. He is the only photographer in north-central Michigan to hold both of these degrees.

Ray has be honored with numerous State, Regional and National awards, including his photographs selected on five occasions for display at the KODAK Pavilion in the Walt Disney World EPCOT Center; the KODAK Gallery Award; and several Best of Show Awards in competition; and has had several of his photographs retained by the Professional Photographers of America, Inc., in their permanent collection ~ The PPofA Loan Collection.

Also, Ray is a Graduate of The Maine Photographic Workshops,  and a five time Graduate of PPofA's Winona International School of Professional Photography,  as well as continuing education through conventions, seminars and workshops at Valentines Studio in the Woods.   Ray occasionally teaches Photography and presents Photography programs to select groups.  He has also conducted his own Photo-Safaris ( Photographic Workshops ) for advanced amateur and professional photographers in several ares of the U.S.
