Welcome to Victoria Cottage in Tobermory, UK Regions, United Kingdom. Victoria Cottage is an original stone cottage about 150 years old and one of the original 19th century buildings in Tobermory. It is situated above the bay close to all of the town?s amenities which are within a few minutes walk. The cottage has been refurbished inside and out and many traditional features of the Scottish style have been retained, such as the window shutters in the main downstairs rooms. The cottage is extremely spacious offering opportunities for wining and dining together as well as quiet corners for bookworms and spaces for study or quiet reflection. The cottage has a 3 STAR "Visit Scotland" self-catering grading awarded in April 2003.
Victoria Cottage, Tobermory, UK Regions, is extremely comfortable and spacious providing most of what is required as a base for an active island holiday. It is equally suitable as a retreat for a peaceful break, for unwinding and for relaxation. There is a good collection of books in the house together with a colour TV, video player and CD player. The property is centrally heated throughout. The heating is supplemented by the open coal fire in the lounge (which also heats the water) and the stove in the kitchen. Coal is included in the weekly rental fee.
The fitted kitchen is well stocked and has a solid fuel stove which provides some extra charm for those who like (or need) to spend time in here! The kitchen has a dishwasher to ease the burden for the chef. There is one bathroom with a "power shower". The cottage can accommodate 4 adults and 2 children comfortably. It is not suitable for 6 adults. For Balamory enthusiasts, note that the cottage is across the street from 'Spencer's House' and is a great base for doing the 'Balamory Tour' of the town!
There are 2 large double bedrooms with sea views over the Sound of Mull and one small twin bedroom which is more suitable for children. The lounge has an open fire and there is a separate dining room. These rooms have fine examples of local artist's paintings showing a variety of Mull-scapes.
A small outbuilding contains a washing machine and a tumble drier with the coal store behind. There is ample parking at the front and side of the cottage.
