Welcome to the Village Inn and Pub, St. Simons Island, Georgia, United States. Nestled under the ancient live oak trees and between the parks and the historic oceanfront Village, you will find our unique Inn. While building the Inn, the owners restored the 1930 beach cottage and designed the Inn around it to integrate the architecture of the neighborhood and the facade of the cottage. The Village Inn and Pub, St. Simons Island, Georgia, was built around the existing giant live oaks that inhabit the Island and not one limb was removed or destroyed.
Developer and owner, George Stewart and wife Michelle, were the recipients of a first time ever "Good Developer Award" given by the Island's Environmentalist Group (RUPA). You will even be parking on 'grass and shell pave' instead of pavement. This was done as to not disturb the root systems of the trees and to promote environmentally safe water run off.
You will step back in time when you enter our beach cottage reception area. It is there that you will start your adventure into the Island's historic past. The Village Inn and Pub is reminiscent of a 1930's style.
There is not one room that has the same floor plan as another. Each room has its unique style that adds to the character of the Inn. The Beach Cottage serves as our main gatehouse and features an antique English Pub made of solid mahogany. You will also find the original stone fireplace and various antiques and treasures within. The small and intimate guesthouse and Inn is the perfect setting for your wedding, reunion, business meeting or any private function. A continental breakfast is served daily on the sun porch located in the pub.
