Welcome to Waikawa Bed and Breakfast, located in Te Kaha on the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand. Wake to the Waves ... at Waikawa Bed and Breakfast and Snapper Bach - idyllic waterfront accommodation on the East Cape - between Hicks Bay and Opotiki, scenic coastal State Highway 35, Te Kaha.
Waikawa is central to a stretch of coast regarded by many as the most scenic section of the popular Pacific Coast Highway. A cavalcade of coastal beauty unfolds as bay follows bay, ranging through crescents of white sand to pebbled beaches and rocky foreshore.
White Island, the active volcano in the Bay of Plenty, is only 50 kms away and dominates the horizon, often with a spectacular plume of steam issuing from the crater. From Waikawa the view of the eastern side of White Island is a unique perspective, looking up the valley created by a collapsed section of the crater wall.
Waikawa Bed and Breakfast offer two comfortable self-contained units all with ensuite, TV, DVD and tea and coffee-making facilities. Outdoor decks allow you to enjoy the serenity of your surroundings. Both units have their own entrance and are separate from our house though close enough to ensure you feel like a welcome guest in our home. The Snapper Bach has full cooking facilities.
