Welcome to Wells-next-the-Sea Primary and Nursery School, United Kingdom.  Wells-next-the-Sea Primary and Nursery School is a Community Primary and Nursery School for 3 to 11 year olds situated on the North Norfolk coast of England. You will find us between Hunstanton and Sheringham, close to the beautiful pinewood-edged beaches of Holkham and about 45 minutes drive from either Norwich or King's Lynn. We are about 150 miles north of London and our friends at the Gallions primary School, and you can see us on Google Maps here.

If you zoom in on the satellite photograph you will see that we occupy a large site with a number of separate buildings. The site was originally the Wells high School, and the building reflects this. The layout brings its own advantages and disadvantages, particularly during wet weather, but such inconveniences are easily outweighed by the rich diversity of the grounds - we were extremely fortunate to team up with the Fairyland Trust who helped us transform the School environment into a rich and stimulating environment. Our slideshows and tours are a good way to get to know our unique School grounds.

Wells-next-the-Sea Primary and Nursery School has about 180 pupils based in 7 classes. We have a highly experienced team of teachers and teaching assistants who have worked hard to raise standards and are committed to increasing achievement in our School. We have strong support from School governors, parents and the wider community, and have a thriving PFA who work hard to raise money for the School. You may be surprised to see African Drumming or Philosophy on our curriculum, but we believe a wide and varied curriculum allows everyone to achieve.

Our Nursery

An important part of Wells-next-the-Sea Primary and Nursery School is our Nursery, currently housed in a separate building next to the Peace Pond. It is open to children aged three and above, and we have spare places at the moment. There is one teacher and a Nursery Assistant. Our Nursery provides many exciting activities, all related to the Foundation Stage Early Learning Goals. Children can enjoy our role play area, have fun learning on our two computers, or enjoy various exciting and creative activities. We also have a quiet area and a safely-enclosed outdoor play area.
