Welcome to the Whitehaven Rambling Club, United Kingdom. The Whitehaven Rambling Club was founded in 1928, so activities have developed over many years; and of theyĆ¢??re still changing.
The main things The Rambling Club does nowadays are simultaneous A, B and C grade rambles on alternate Sundays throughout the year, Wednesday evening local walks from March to September, Wednesday evening lectures from September to March, walking and social weekends elsewhere in the UK, usually two or three times per year.
The Whitehaven Rambling Club has an annual Christmas Party or Dance, an issue to members a detailed quarterly bulletin of events. In addition the Whitehaven Rambling Club have had some long distance walks by club groups and several walking holidays abroad.
Whitehaven Rambling Club was formed at the instigation of Roland Taylor, who organised a trial ramble to Eskdale on 3rd June 1928, during which the club was formed.
