William's Grant Inn

William's Grant Inn in Bristol, Bristol County, United States | Inn

Welcome to William's Grant Inn, Bristol, Rhode Island, United States. William's Grant Inn was first granted by Deputy Governor William Bradford to his grandson in 1808. There are seven fireplaces and two beehive ovens. It was renovated as a B and B back in 1993 by Mike and Mary Rose, whose mother did unique hand-painted decorations that adorn the entire kitchen and the entry hall. The decor includes antiques and folk art, and a mural of Bristol harbor in the front hall. The Poehler's have added attractive new landscaping plus a new patio area and fish pond. A beautiful five-bay Colonial Federal style home, the 1808 Willam's Grant Inn features charming and individualized, sometimes whimsical, guest room decors. It is conveniently located along tree-lined High Street in quiet south Bristol, Rhode Island.
Expect lots of fresh baked muffins or scones and a bowl of delicious fresh fruit. Top it all off with a special hot entree like blueberry pancakes, or a fresh spinach and mushroom omelete, and you have one of Diane's famous William's Grant Inn breakfasts. Their full repertoire includes Portuguese French toast; blueberry and apple-cInnamon pancakes; fresh vegetable strata; and a New Zealand favorite: bacon-and-egg pie.
