Welcome to Zur Letzten Instanz in Berlin, Germany. There are only a few steps between the Alexanderplatz and a place full of history and poetry, of worldly charm and Berlin wit, all together under the roof of Zur Letzten Instanz. Thanks to the work of restorers and architects an unspoilt piece of Berlin’s history came into being again directly next to the remains of the old city wall.
Zur Letzten Instanz 's two restaurants have room for 120 guests and are linked by a baroque spiral staircase. As our guest you may choose between togetherness and a sociable atmosphere.
The medieval building was completely restored, whereas the historical annexes and the original interior have remained preserved. At that moment, stepping on the old brick floor of Zur Letzten Instanz , our guests are already taken back into the “good old days”. Apart from the interior with its local flavour, a lot of drawings, paintings and photographs tell even more stories of former days. The oldest and probably most popular piece of furniture, however, is the 200-year-old tiled stove on which Napoleon made himself comfortable and enjoyed culinary specialities.
