Oriental's History Museum in Oriental, North Carolina offers a fascinating trip back into yesteryearn with permanent collections of artifacts from the Steamship Oriental. They also have old school memorabilia, fishing and boating artifacts, World War II artifacts, and Indian dugout, a lumbering exhibit, Harker's Island skiff and projectors from the old theatre. There are fossils too, and they now boast a whale vertebrae, shark's teeth and more which is on loan from the Aurora Fossil Museum.
