Incorporated in 1974 through the efforts of various arts groups, the Bonifas Fine Arts Center in Escanaba, has made great strides in becoming a regional hub for cultural activities and educationalprograms. In 1990, the Center was awarded the prestigious "Governor?s Arts Award" for outstanding contributions as an arts organization.
