The Italian Cultural Foundation at Casa Belvedere in Staten Island, New York, is set on lavishly landscaped grounds and this historic landmark is steeped in rich history. This arts and cultural center, with its spectacular views of the city harbor, has been lovingly restored to its original spendor for the benefit and enjoyment of the community. The aim of the foundation is to preserve and promote an understanding and appreciation of Italian language, cuisine, arts and literature, and this is done through educational programs, cooking classes, exhibits and events. The Italian Cultural Foundation at Casa Belvedere has an experienced team of instructors who conduct excellent cooking classes for novice and experienced home chefs in an intimate and friendly setting setting. Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden
At Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden in Staten Island, New York, visitors can enjoy many experiences ranging from arts, education, recreation as well as one of the most interesting and beautiful botanical gardens. Established in 1977 the Snug Harbor Botanical Gardens is spread over a 53 acre woodland and is home to more than 20 specimen gardens which afford visitors enjoyable and relaxing strolls through the gardens. One of the most popular and unique attrractions at Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden is the New York Chinese Scholar's Garden, featuring interesting rockeries created to resemble the mountains that monks and scholars drew inspiration from, waterfalls, a koi-filled pond and a bamboo forest path. The botanical gardens provide students with unique and interesting learning experiences.
