Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games
The Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games in Kincardine, Ontario is a not to be missed, annual event displaying some of the best Scottish Pipe bands, solo pipers, drummers and Highland dance performers. Since the year 2000 they have been promoting the Scottish heritage of the region to thousands of visitors, and over the years have become one of the most recognised festivals in the province. Come enjoy the sights and sounds of Scotland over three wonderful days of festivities and activities right here on Kincardine's very own Loch Heron. The Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games is held every year in the first weekend of July, and covers everything from bands and performers to a piping and drumming competition, a Highland dance competition, and heavy events include tossing cabers the size of telephone poles, hammer throws, shot-put stones, come for exciting action and a whole lot of fun.
