The Museum of East Asian Art is unique in the sense that it is the only museum in the UK that is solely committed to the arts and cultures of East and Southeast Asia, and is home to an exquisite collection of ceramics, jades, bronzes and many more items from Southeast Asia, Japan and China. It is the aim of the museum to encourage visitors to have a greater understanding and appreciation for the unique art and cultures of Southeast and East Asia through its jade collections and outstanding bamboo carvings which depict the finest of achievements in craftsmanship of East Asia.
