The Westmoreland Museum of American Art in Greensburg, PA, owes it existence to the generousity of Mary Marhand Woods, a staunch patron of the arts, who bequeathed her entire estate for the building of a museum in Greensburg. The museum officially opened its doors to the public in 1959 and its focus was, and still is, to collect and exhibit art of America and southwestern Pennsylvania. Imagine Nation Kids' Club at Westmoreland Museum of American Art invites children to become members of the club, free of charge, and learn all about art and artists, you also get to play fun games and discover new art projects. One Saturday a month Imagine Nation holds studio art classes that teach fundamental art techniques, and during the summer months we run week-long art camps where children are encouraged to explore and expand their creativity.
