The Historical Diving Society
The Historical Diving Society in Gosport, Hampshire, England was formed in 1990 to preserve and protect diving heritage, and has now grown into an international organisation. The Diving Museum is housed in a Victorian Battery with a short flight of stairs down, and once there all areas are wheelchair accessible. The Diving Museum showcases and exhibits the range of military, commercial and recreational diving equipment anywhere in Europe, and the co-inventor of the diving helmet even lived in Gosport back in the day making the town home of the global diving industry. The Diving Museum is an outreach project of the Historical Diving Society manned entirely by volunteers, why not become a member today. They even have an on-line shop with gifts and collectibles, clothing, kids items, books, prints and much more.

Hovercraft Museum
The Hovercraft Museum in Gosport, Hampshire, England is the only one in the world and they feature more than 60 hovercraft within several hangars, run by dedicated enthusiasts, engineers, pilots and retired crew. Every year a Hovershow is staged to raise funds to cover running costs, and the general public are invited to come and view these fascinating hovercraft. The Hovercraft Museum collection can be arranged to view by prior appointment and they welcome educational groups and groups of 10 or more, and if you join or volunteer and become a member of the Hovercraft Museum, you gain free access and enjoy their extensive library and archives, you can even volunteer your services and assist with the cleaning and restoration of hovercraft and associated items most Saturday mornings.
