Tower-Soudan Historical Society Historical Center
The Tower-Soudan Historical Society Historical Center in Tower, Minnesota includes a museum in the historic train depot, as well as a steam locomotive, a railway passenger car, Caboose, and homesteaders cabin. Located on an acre of land at the western entrance to the city of Tower, the land, steam locomotive, coach and depot were donated to the City of Tower for historical purposes, and the Tower train coach car is available for rental with tables and chairs, and can comfortably accommodate 22-45 people. The Tower-Soudan Historical Society Historical Center museum has hundreds of artifacts and photos as well as an information service, and the Homesteaders cabin was built in 1915 in the woods and hauled over the lake to Tower one winter. Come for a walk back in time and learn about the first white family to take up residence in Tower as well as when the last steam train left Tower and so much more, they also have Tower cemetry records on-line.

Bois Forte Heritage Center and Cultural Museum
The Bois Forte Heritage Center and Cultural Museum in Tower, Minnesota celebrates the history, life and culture of the Bois Forte Band of the Ojibwe tribe. This two story building offers 3,000 square feet of exhibits and artifacts, a fur trading post, wigwam, a mural on the migration of the band into the Great Lakes area, a wall on spirituality and beliefs and so much more. The Bois Forte Heritage Center and Cultural Museum also has a lifeways exhibit that includes education covering topics such as ricing, bead work and basketing, there's also a constellation ceiling and veteran's wall where tributes are paid to to Bois Forte Band members who served in the US armed forces. The Bois Forte Heritage Center and Cultural Museum is dedicated to telling the Bois Forte Ojibwe story and is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Vermilion in the grounds of the Fortune Bay Resort.
