They have special collections of many species, a wetlands, an Aroid Garden, Timber Trees section, flower garden, Bush Tucker garden and so much more, come for a fascinating visit of beauty. Cooktown Botanic Gardens also exchange seed and plants with other gardens and provide seeds and plants to research institutions, they also have indoor exhibition space available for events and celebrations, come for a magical visit, complete with Nature's Power House an environmental Interpretive Centre, with displays of paintings and wildlife exhibitions.

Nature's Power House
Nature's Power House is an interpretive centre in the Cooktown Botanic Gardens of Cooktown, Queensland, Australia offering a Visitor Information centre with gifts and an art gallery, also with displays of the fauna and flora. Their aim is to share the stunning natural heritage of the area with rest of the world, and outside of business hours, they offer their exhibition spaces up for functions and special events. The James Cook Museum

Cooktown History Centre
The Cooktown History Centre in Cooktown, Queensland, Australia welcomes you to visit them for everything about the history of the area and is run by the Cooktown and District Historical Society. Housed in a historical building in Charlotte Street circa 1875, it was then the town's first post and telegraph office, and now has photos, interactive displays, murals and oral histories for a fascinating insight into the past. The Cooktown History Centre brings you Cooktown through the years with an exhibition bringing to life the historical railway, early roads, cyclones and other disasters, the people of the time including early families and indigenous people, a visit is a must.
