Sywell Aviation Museum
The aim of Sywell Aviation Museum in Sywell Northamptonshire is to preserve the illustrious aviation heritage of Northamptonshire from its early aviation days right up to WWII and further. This non-profit organisation is run by volunteers who all share the same passion of preserving the history of Sywell Aerodrome. Our museum is a work in progress, and we do all that we can to ensure visitors have an enjoyable and educational visit, as they learn about the aviation heritage over the years, and also remember lives that were lost in the troubling 20th century. Sywell Aviation Museum is well stocked with artefacts, models, weapons, uniforms, photographs, aircraft archaeology, aero engines and literature, and is always interested in receiving information about known crash sites as well as donations of artefacts. A Hawker Hunter which was acquired during 2012, is the museum's first complete airframe, and there is much excitement in restoring this new exhibit. There are many more exciting exhibits, and visitors are sure to find something of interest at our aviation museum.
