National Naval Aviation Museum
Although National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida, is predominantly home to aircraft, it also showcases over 4000 uniforms, flight gear, weaponry, medals and decorations which highlight the history of naval aviation. The Emil Buehler Naval Aviation Library possesses personal and official papers of prominent naval aviators, squadron records as well as a photograph collection of over 350,000 images, which collection attracts researchers worldwide. National Naval Aviation Museum is recognised as one of the world's largest and most popular naval aviation museums, with more than 150 aircraft which have been beautifully restored and that represent Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Aviation. These unique aircraft displays are housed inside the museum as well as outside on its 37 acres of ground. Our flight line bus takes visitors on a free 20 minute tour of about 40 aircraft displayed behind the restoration hangar. We also have 2 top of the range MaxFlight Simulators which allow visitors to experience the excitement of air-to-air combat and stunt flying.
