The Beer Quarry Caves are a vast underground man made complex of underground caverns. The Beer Quarry Caves were created by centuries of quarrying the famous Beer stone which helped to build cathedrals, parts of Westminster Abbey and even the Tower of London, Hampton Court and Windsor Castle. Enjoy an hour long tour of the caves with trained guides who inspire with the history of the Beer stone and spend some time in the small museum containing pieces of Beer stone carved centuries ago by skilled masons - fascinating.
