Botanic Garden, located on the campus of the University of Bristol, Stoke Bishop, Bristol, is located on 1.77 hectare of beautiful garden, overflowing with an enormous variety of plants, which include many exotic species that are displayed to perfection, with a striking Victorian house as a backdrop. Botanic Garden has trained volunteer guides who conduct informative tours of the garden, and who tell visitors a bit about the history and the work involved in the garden, and also introduces the various plant collections. The large glasshouses are climatically right for many exotic plants which include the giant Amazon water lily, a sacred lotus collection, orchids and cacti. The diverse plants that grow so healthily in the glasshouses flower any time of the year, and there is an information display which gives detailed information about the plants.
At Botanic Garden we endeavour to encourage and stimulate public interest in plants, and we look forward to being your guide.
