Stuart Heritage Museum in Stuart, Florida, came into being in 1988, and the purpose of this heritage museum is to preserve the heritage, history and artifacts of Stuart and its surrounding communities for future generations. The relics and artifacts on display in the museum tells visitors about the history of the people, businesses and the community spirit of an era gone by. Stuart Heritage Museum is open to the public free of charge, seven days a week, and is staffed by volunteers who can answer all questions and also furnish information about the exhibits and artifacts. Over the years the inventory of Stuart Heritage Museum has increased steadily, with nearly 80% of the artifacts being locally acquired in order that the rich history of Stuart can be preserved.
