It is the aim and goal of the museum to research, preserve and promote not only the history of the College Park Airport but also its collections, as well as WWI aviation in general, and by operating this site as a museum, it provides educational exhibits, tours, special events and programs for visitors, scholars and tourists. The restoration facility of the College Park Aviation Museum is manned by a crew of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers, and supervised by a restoration facility manager, and the task of this facility is to restore and to construct accurate reproductions of historic aircraft. During the 19th century Bicton was a bustling estate, and employees showed their skills in developing the ornamental gardens, running the farm, planting gardens for kitchen use, managing the woodlands and maintaining the mansion.
