The Lizard Lighthouse Heritage Cente2015-05-29

The Lizard Lighthouse Heritage Center has distinctive twin towers which mark the most southerly point of mainland Britain, and this landfall and coast mark provides a guid for vessels in passage along the English channel as the waters are very hazardous. Lizard Lighthouse has six adjacent holiday cottages which offer breathtaking scenery and are ideally located for coastal walking with rare birds and flowers in abundance and sometimes sightings of dolphins can be spotted from the cliff tops. The Lizard Lighthouse Visitors Centre maintained and renovated by the Trinity House have refurbished the Engine Room at the lighthouse, retaining some of the old engines, and now also features new exhibition material, interactive displays and an audio visual room.
