Villa Manzoni
Villa Manzoni in Lecco, Lombardy, Italy showcases the rooms of the house where Alessandro Mazoni grew up and spent his childhood and youth, there is a chapel and cellars, and the rooms on the ground floor have remained with the original furnishings of 1818, when the writer sold the villa. One room has a beautiful portrait of the writer and original furnishings, and another room documents the relationship between the writer and Lecco through paintings, prints, documents and a large model, a third room has interesting autographs and objects belonging to Alessandro. The Villa Manzoni has many other rooms of interest all featuring paintings, the works of Manzoni, an ornate dining room with ceiling plasterwork of the 18th century, and there is a courtyard of honour, come for a fascinating and historical visit.
