Irish Linen Centre and Lisburn Museum
The Irish Linen Centre and Lisburn Museum offers the safeguarding, collection and protection of artifacts relating to the Irish linen industry and the history of Lisburn. Admission is free and visitors are welcome, plus there is full disabled and wheel chair access and it's conveniently close to the rail and bus stations. Enjoy the permanent exhibition of the story of the Irish Linen industry including skilled demonstrations of hand spinning and flax and loom weaving, it's fascinating, and there are guided tours available of the castle gardens. The Irish Linen Centre and Lisburn Museum shop offers linen, handmade jewellery, greeting cards and books of local interest.
