    The Montrose Museum is housed in a beautiful neo-classical building with displays housed in the spacious atrium, mezzanine and galleries charting the life of the town and art of its people. Displays of local interest covering archaeology, Montrose history, the picts, Montrose silver, maritime and natural history make for fascinating browsing and significant Neolithic and bronze age artefacts include examples of Montrose silver and Dryleys pottery. The William Lamb Studio displays sculpture, prints and drawings and his workroom, living room and tools are also displayed.


  • Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre

    Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre tells the story of the RFC/RAF Montrose deeds of men and women in the two world wars via photographs and artifacts. Come and see what a World War One aircraft looked like, with the Centre having a full size replica Sopwith Camel, famous as the aircraft that shot down 'The Red Baron'. A prestigious collection of memorabilia, artefacts and pictures depicting the story from the origins of flight, through the two world wars are available as well as displays and models showing the different aircraft - a fascinating must see.
