Powysland Museum
Powysland Museum in Welshpool, Wales, was established by a historical society in 1874, and after being taken over by local council, this historic museum and its precious collections were carefully relocated to become the refurnished, modern museum it is today. Our museum features three permanent galleries that include exhibitions of archaeology and social history of Montgomeryshire, and a fourth gallery displays a variety of temporary exhibits. We also run interesting activities for schools, clubs and other groups. Housed in an imposing building, Powysland Museum is a popular venue for unique weddings, and guests are welcome to enjoy a celebratory drink in our reception area.
