Amber Museum-Gallery2016-06-06
Amber Museum-Gallery in Vilnius, Lithuania, is located within a historic 17th century, baroque building that to this day retains Gothic elements and the remains of renaissance architecture. Our museum-gallery is home to the largest archeological amber collection discovered during the period 1860 to 1881, and consists of various shaped amber artefacts as well as raw amber. Other valuable archaeological findings housed in the museum cellar at Amber Museum-Gallery include 15-16 century kilns that have been perfectly preserved, and restored dishes and tiles that were baked in these very kilns are also displayed.
