The Forest History Center in Salem, Oregon has a mission and that is to preserve the history of forestry in Oregon and to make such information available to the public. They have displays of fire training and tools dating back to the 1930's and some of the tools are still used by firefighters today including the Hazel hoe, Pulaski, shovel, and axe.
