Canadian Transportation Museum and Heritage Village
The Canadian Transportation Museum and Heritage village in Kingsville, Ontario is a fascinating attraction on a 100 acre site housing one of the largest vehicle museums in Ontario, as well as artifacts and building dating back from the late 1700's to the 1920's. Come tour the transportation museum with various modes of transport from the 1800's and up as well as horse and oxen drawn carts, hot rods, Ford Model T's, corvettes, T-birds and much more, and the heritage village features over a dozen buildings of local significance with interesting displays. This charitable organisation operates soley on grants and with a long history going back to when Jack formed one of the first Game Protective associations in 1900. In 1904 Jack Miner who founded the Jack Miner Migratory Bird Sanctuary for the conservation of migrating Canada geese and wild ducks, was dubbed the Father of Conservation. To this day Jacks work is honoured by the board of directors and he was inducted into the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame for his pioneering work.
