The Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, Texas, opened its doors to the public in 1971, and welcomes more than 400 000 visitors each year. Set on 31 acres of attractive grounds, The Gladys Porter Zoo, divided into 4 areas, Asia, Africa, Tropical America and Indo-Australia, is home to an interesting collection of 377 species of animals as well as 225 types of plants.The zoo grounds are ideal for many events including birthday parties, weddings and more, and our catering staff can provide outstanding sit-down dinners or casual dining events.
