Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve
Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve has been in the care of the National Trust for Scotland since 1950, and is one of the botanically richest mountains in Britain, with rare plant species and a diversity in invertabrates, and it's very popular with hillwalkers. Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve offers eco tourism courses starting at the office in Lynedoch, Killin including introductions to mountain plant identification, and a reasonable level of fitness is required. A packed programme of events at Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve invites you to come get close to nature as expert rangers share their knowledge and children and adults are welcome. There's even a 7 hours mountain flowers walk to view some of the arctic-alpine plants for which these hills are famous.
