Tahquamenon Falls State Park
Tahquamenon Falls State Park in Paradise, Michigan is located over 50,000 acres, stretching over 13 miles of mostly undeveloped woodland. The beautiful centrepiece is the Tahquamenon River with its waterfalls and the Upper Falls, one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi has a drop of nearly 50 feet, more than 200 feet across. The Lower Falls, a series of five smaller falls cascading around an island which can be accessed by a rowboat rented from the park concession, and from the island the south channel falls can be viewed. Tahquamenon Falls State Park offers dirt hiking trails, walks, events, fishing, wildlife, a boat launch, cabins and lodges, concession store, picnic area and playground, come for a wonderful visit in historical and beautiful surrounds.
