Parkers Marsh Natural Area Preserve
Parkers Marsh Natural Area Preserve lies at the creek's meeting with the Chesapeake and is the jewel of Onancock Creek, where 750 acres of marsh and beach are protected in a stunning eco tourism area. Providing a habitat for a variety of plant and animal species, the wetland communities include migrating waterfowl, shorebirds and songbirds. The federally threatened Northeastern beach tiger beetle or Cicindela dorsalis dorsalis has a home here too, and is protected by Parkers Marsh Natural Area Preserve. There is only boat access here, and no docking or other public facilities are available.

Tangier-Onancock Ferry
The Tangier-Onancock Ferry invites you to come and travel to and from the island aboard the Joyce Marie 11. Take a visit to the wonderful Tangier Island, on Chesapeake Bay and enjoy all that the island has to offer including fishing charters, bird watching, crabbing, kayaking, eco tourism and more, and there are excellent restaurants for meals too. The Tangier-Onancock Ferry boat can take 26 passengers at a time and is a fibreglass lobster boat that is coast guard certified. You captain awaits to take you on the memorable boat trip across the bay to the Island, come on board.
