Motueka is a town in the South Island of New Zealand. It is located close to the mouth of the Motueka River, on the western shore of Tasman Bay. It is, after Nelson and Richmond, the third largest centre in the region, with a permanent population of around 6000.

On Stewart Island we have lots of beautiful bush walks, anything from ten minutes to ten days and we are handy for several tracks. On Stewart Island you can have a sandy beach to yourself even at the height of the season. Bus tours cover the entire road system [30 km!] daily. The island is larger than Singapore but apart from a very small area around the only township, is covered in native forest or tussock. Tramping tracks take you into more remote areas. There are comfortable huts at reasonable intervals.

The volcanic peak, Paku, and off shore views of the jagged Aldermen Islands are the natural focal points of the Tairua area. Large areas south of the river, between Pauanui and Wharekawa Harbour (Opoutere), are dominated by exotic forests. North of Tairua is the rugged coastal area of Sailors Grave - an area for a fine half day coastal work. Inland, the Tairua River runs to the sea from its source in the Coromandel Range, snaking through historic Broken Hills on its journey.

Vancouver City is bordered on the north by Burrard Inlet, which is the City's main harbour. English Bay, a large body of water that is popular with sailboarders and sailboaters alike, also serves as a freighter's 'parking lot' as they wait for berths in the harbour. The Bay marks the western edge of the City's downtown core and the northern edge of the City's west side and Point Grey area.
