Rottnest Island was originally an indigenous prison as well as later home to approximately 2500 military personnel who were stationed here to protect Fremantle harbour from the Japanese Naval invasion around the 1940's. Rottnest Island Museum is run by friendly volunteers and offers a fascinating history and insight into the island's past, a must visit.

Saba Rock is a small island of the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean, approximately an acre and a half in size. It sits entirely within the North Sound of Virgin Gorda. It was formerly owned and occupied by Bert Kilbride, a marine archaeologist who for many years served as Her Majesty's Receiver of Wreck in the Territory. It was subsequently sold and now has a small hotel and restaurant on it.
