Bosnia and Herzegovina info

Bosnia and Herzegovina countryside is incredibly beautiful but towns are horribly scarred by the war. There is a small strip of land on the beautiful Dalmatian coast with sails bobbing in serene azure fjords. The bridge over the Miljacka River is where the Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in June 1914 by a Serb nationalist to protest against the annexation of Bosnia-Herzegovina by Austria-Hungary in 1908 after it had occupied it following the defeat of Turkey by Russia in 1878. This led to the First World War.
