You can try your hand at a variety of WATER ACTIVITIES such as sailing, surfing and sand sailing, open to all, information from SemVie Nautisme. A marina is located right in the town centre with a yachting school. Port la Vie accommodates more than 1,000 boats and plays host to many sailing races.

St Gilles-Croix-de-Vie offers three and a half kilometres of sandy beach - the main beach is on the north side of the Vie estuary, on the south side you can find a delightful maze of old fisherman's cottages set in between the port and the shopping area.
