SPITZINGSEE!
The romantic Spitzingsee south of the Schliersee is ringed by dark mountain forests. With an area of 28 hectares it is Bavaria's largest mountain lake. The quality of its water was greatly improved through the construction of a sewage disposal system, which was substantially supported by the state of Bavaria.
In the summer the Spitzingsee is the starting point for numerous walks and mountain hikes - here there is something to suit every requirement.
In the winter there is a total of 30 kilometres of ski slopes and 18 cable cars and lifts, making the Spitzingsee region one of the largest ski areas in Germany.

In the valley over the lakes still thick fog lies, the sun shines often - come play with us at the mountain, which you can enjoy via the mountain railway travel. Gently and almost completely still you can float comfortably in the lake at Spitzingsee, leave the fog everyday life behind, as the sun lies over the Almwiesen, set yourself for enjoyment, a healing balm for the soul.
Then move on a little, take a hike which is even suitable for seniors, and quiet for the new generation, which is good for the feet with only a little pain.
A cool refreshment in the brook provides miracles. And if the a thirst comes, stop at a mountain station for everything that holds body and soul together.
