The traditional Masseria Il Principato di Frassanito is situated only ca. 400 m on foot from the Alimini Lakes and ca. 800 m from the sea.

Here, a bit north of Otranto, you will find a mainly still untouched stretch of steep coast with countless hidden bays. Families with children will be happy about shallow, fine sandy beaches, windsurfers are offered best possibilities. This as wella as the past years, the beaches near Frassanito have received the "bandiera blu", the coveted award for clean beaches and clear water.

The two coastal lakes are the core of a nature oasis, surrounded by pine trees, Mediterranean macchia and reed, and are a paradise for numerous bird species. The Alimini Grande, a saltwater lake rich in fish, is connected to the sea by a small canal, the Alimini Piccolo is fed by a freshwater spring.
