Gargnano is a town of 3,279 inhabitants in the province of Brescia, in Alto Garda, Italy. Il comune è compreso all'interno del Parco Alto Garda Bresciano . The town is inside the Park South Garda Bresciano. It is one of the larger municipalities for extension of the Province of Brescia but at the same time is one of the least densely populated areas.
The municipality of Gargnano comprises almost entirely Valvestino Lake basin created in 1962 barring the torrent Toscolano.

Gargnano is a little spot extending for about 78,3 sq km locating right in the centre of the Alto Garda bresciano park. While the chief town and the main centres face the lake and on the other hand the Villavetro, Fornico and Zuino hamlets stand on the ridge and are surrounded by olive groves.
Other small hamlets stand at a height of 500 mt: Liano, Formaga, Navazzo, Sasso and Musaga and at last Muslone, vertically facing the Garda lake. The whole area goes back to the ancient times and reflects moreover the old folk wisdom.
