The village of Vrouwenpolder consists of approximally 1100 inhabitants and is situated directly behind the dunes of a 5 kilometres long sandy beach. On the beach itself you can find several beach pavilions and a sail and catamaran club.
Nowadays a part of this club is used by kite surfers and other likewise sports.
The beach and beach pavilion “Breezand” has access for the disabled.
