Lavik is a village and former municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. Lavik is on the northern shore of the Sognefjord, approximately 100 kilometers north of Bergen and 50 kilometers west of Hoyanger.
In 2001, the Lavik area had a population of about 1000 people, with about 285 living in the village of Lavik.
The village of Lavik is mainly a farming community but recently developing into a transport hub on the European route E39, the main route from Bergen to Trondheim. Lavik is the northern point of the Lavik to Oppedal ferry served by Fjord1 Nordvestlandske.
There are several services in the small harbour: a snackbar, a pizzeria, a hotel and restaurant on the Sognefjord, a supermarket, a bank, a service station, and several other shops.
